Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
The Royal Botanical Gardens are 70 acres of natural wonder located just a mile away from the centre of Edinburgh. The gardens are free to enter and are a great day out for all the family. You don't have to be Alan Tichmarsh to appreciate the gardens as whether you are a plant lover or not, it's impossible not to get taken in by the beauty of the place.
There is plenty going on at the gardens throughout the year, so we do advise that you check out the website (below). The gardens are so close to central Edinburgh that it would be a shame not to make a day of it and take in the Castle as well, and perhaps a bite to eat in one of the city's many quality restaurants. www.rbge.org.uk
