Perfectly situated running down towards St Lawrence Bay, Waterside Holiday Park is an idyllic location to come and stay. With views across the water towards Mersea Island, you are perfectly located to enjoy the miles of Essex coastline nearby or venture into the nearby countryside to see some of the beautiful nature reserves and wildlife that live close by.

On the park itself you can make full use of all the facilities which include heated indoor pool, spa pool and sauna. The Water Resorts programme includes Aqua Baby sessions for the under 5’s which is designed to help the youngsters develop water confidence, Aqua Totz for children aged 5 and over which is another teaching programme, Aqua Mania which is suitable for all the family as these fun sessions make full use of floats, inflatables and there are even some organised pool games. The other water based activity that you can do at Waterside is to try snorkelling in the pool.

Other facilities include a Sports Resorts programme where you can play 5-a-side football, adventure playground and amusement arcade. There is also a village shop, launderette, café & takeaway, lounge bar and even a boat launching ramp.

At night time there is entertainment held in the Waterside Tavern with a relaxed programme so you can just enjoy a few drinks and wind down after a long day of fun. Although during Bank Holiday weekends and peak weeks there are visiting acts that come to the centre to provide you with some live shows.

If you fancy a bit of hustle and bustle as a break from the tranquillity of park life then head towards the seaside town of Southend-on-Sea which is approx. an hour’s drive from the park. There you will be able to walk along the world’s longest pier, go on the many rides and attractions in Adventure Island and see the many marine displays in the Sea-Life Adventure centre.
