Devon - Dawlish - Golden Sands

Golden Sands Holiday Park is on the doorstep of some really outstanding visitor attractions and places of interest making it a very suitable base to explore from. There is the nearby English Riviera with the Lively Torquay and the slightly more sedate Paignton as well as the nearby Jurassic coastline and further afield the cities of Exeter and Plymouth.

Put your walking shoes on because you will be spoilt for choice of exciting places to investigate such as the miles of coastal pathways that provide fabulous vistas and lots of places to stop and have a peaceful picnic.

Tranquil settings abound and one in particular is next door in Peppermint Park, the sister site of Golden Sands Caravan Park, where a beautiful fishing lake can be found, the lake is free to use for residents of Golden Sands as are the other facilities, for not only Peppermint Park but also Dawlish Sands.

There are masses of local attractions to visit but some you should include are Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve, Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park, The World of Country Life, Paignton Zoo and Quaywest Water Park.

After a hard day visiting all the local sights you can meander back to Golden Sands and visit the Takeaway to re-stoke the fire before getting your party hat on and visiting the entertainment centre.

Golden Sands makes an ideal stop off point for touring caravans providing all the desired facilities to make your stay a pleasant one, there is a reception, shop and electrical hook-up, wi-fi internet access, sky TV, restaurant and bar.
