National Marine Aquarium

Take an excursion to visit the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth when you are on your travels in Devon as this is without doubt an outing that should not be missed. The Donkey Sanctuary

For all the animal lovers out there, a visit to The Donkey Sanctuary is a must. Situated just outside of Sidmouth in beautiful countryside, this registered charity provides a vital service to donkeys worldwide whilst still providing an ideal tourist destination. The Donkey Sanctuary is home to 500 or so rescue donkeys all of whom now have the opportunity to spend the rest of their days in a safe and secure environment, all thanks to charitable donations and the many visitors to the sanctuary. Castle Drogo

Visit the last castle ever to be built in England, Castle Drogo. The early gothic castle is set in a backdrop of spectacular Dartmoor countryside and is owned by The National Trust. The surrounding scenery is certainly breathtaking but a word of warning, because of the location of the castle extreme weather conditions can be experienced, which of course all adds to the atmospheric excitement but you will be well advised to take a jumper and a rain Mac - just to be on the safe side!
